As your Officiant, I walk with you through the engagement and wedding planning process to transform this moment from a one-day event to a marriage to grow and thrive for the next fifty years. From listening to your couple story, I collaborate with you to create a meaningful and memorable ceremony. Because no couple, no marriage, and no wedding are exactly the same, I do not offer packages. Each couple I work with receives equal care and attention customized to their style.
What can you expect if you choose me?
- A welcoming and open presence
- A book with a collection of options for elements in your ceremony
- Three pre-marital sessions to teach me your story, share the stress of this process, and grow your relationship
- A Prepare/Enrich Survey to help me and you get to know your relationship better and to help us create a ceremony that truly reflects you
- A detailed outline of your ceremony
- A rehearsal led by me
- A meaningful and memorable wedding ceremony
- A filed marriage license
What can I expect from our sessions together?
Couples sometimes fear that I am here to tell them whether they should or should not get married. That is NOT true. In our sessions together, I want to get to know you better and help you get to know yourselves and one another better. I take a coaching approach to walking with couples to help them prepare not only for the big day, but the day after that.

From Stephanie and Alex
“Rev. Megan Malick was recommended to us through a friend. We are a same-sex couple who was having difficulty finding an officiant who was religious, but willing to officiate our wedding. Rev. Malick found the right mix of religion for us (we aren’t practicing, but agreed that we wanted religious overtones in our wedding without being preachy). My wife and I agree that hiring her was one of the best choices we made in regards to vendors for our wedding. Rev. Malick wrote a beautiful, individual ceremony for us for which we received numerous compliments. She met with us three times before the rehearsal in order to get to know us, provide some pre-marriage counseling, and to help us plan the details of our ceremony. In between these three meetings, she emailed occasionally and made sure we weren’t letting the stress of one day interfere with our relationship. After we received a rough copy of our ceremony, both my wife and I were in tears with how wonderful it was. We did have a request to change a prayer at the end to an Irish blessing, and Rev. Malick was happy to change it out. She ran our rehearsal (which we where happy about because we didn’t hire a wedding planner or anything and neither of us knew exactly what we were doing), and was at the ceremony the next day early enough to speak with us and make sure everything was in order. Both my wife and I are completely satisfied with Rev. Malick and feel so blessed to have had her officiate our wedding.”
